Spilled Blood

Last week, I felt a craving to squirt ketchup in the snow for fun.  In that moment, it dawned on me how absolutely paradoxical the ancient texts of Isaiah are when mentioning a mysterious crimson blood making one whiter than snow;

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith Jehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

I can't explain it and I don't know how it works, but it does and Jesus is who he says he is.  On February 14th, 2005 I sat on my bed in agony after hearing some devastating news and something deeper in me than I knew existed called to its likeness, deeper still.  In that moment there was a supernatural exchange of power that completely took me out of myself and the words on the pages of the Bible were made alive.  I was not searching for God when He found me...but I was responding to the wooing of the Spirit, which was absolutely an unknown frontier for me.  I didn't have a clue what awaited me.

Jeremiah 33:3 ~  Call to me and I will tell you great and UNSEARCHABLE things you do not know.

Oh!  Precious is the flow,
That makes me white as snow,
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
